Federico Maggia prize
Federico Maggia (1901-2003), Biellese engineer and architect, donated to the Sella Foundation the complete archive of his work and that of the three previous generations of Maggia designers. He expressly wished that the prize, named after him, should provide tangible support to young designers who are preparing to enter the world of his profession.
The Federico Maggia prize is a biennial national architecture competition which aims to promote new architectural restoration and development projects in the Biellese territory which are both practical and useful. The objective is to continue to encourage the young participants to use their skills to express new visions which enhance the relationship between their profession and the territory.
Together with the Sella Foundation, promoters of the initiative are the Association of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of the Province of Biella and the Association of Engineers of the Province of Biella.
