Son of Vittorio (second branch) and of Linda Mosca. Reserve Officer in the Engineer Corps during the wars (1911 and 1915-18), then Lieutenant Colonel of the reserve. He was an aviator and also a farmer at the «Sella & Mosca» farm of Alghero. Vice-chairman of the Gaudenzio Sella & C. Bank. In 1925 in Biella he married Alice Schneider (Mulhouse, 29-07-1898 and Biella, 21-07-1985), daughter of Daniele and Aline Kieffer and they had three children: Vittorio (1929), Aline (1928) and Franco (1930).

Sardinia and his travels were the most common subjects of his photographs, but also the places and events of the Great War in which he took part with his brother Giuseppe and cousin Ugo.
